My Marketing Pals Terms and Conditions

  1. Definitions

1.1 Unless otherwise stated, the following definitions apply:

  • Fees: Membership Fees.
  • Member: An individual who holds Membership for My Marketing Pals.
  • Membership: The status of being a member of My Marketing Pals.
  • My Marketing Pals: Is operated by Elizabeth Mendes da Costa & Kamilah McDonald.
  1. Effect of These Terms

By applying for or renewing Membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which govern your relationship with My Marketing Pals.

  1. Fees

Your Fees cover:

  • Organisation and facilitation of My Marketing Pals in-person session, virtual surgery and accompanying resources.  
  • Access to the My Marketing Pals Portal.
  • Support from My Marketing Pals.

Note: My Marketing Pals may change meeting venues or move meetings online when necessary. This does not alter your Fee obligations.

Payment Options:

  • Monthly Instalments: 12 monthly Fees paid over 12 months.

All Fees are payable to My Marketing Pals.

  1. Membership Renewal
  • My Marketing Pals will contact you 4–6 weeks prior to renewal.
  • An automatic renewal reminder will be sent 7 days before your renewal date.
  • Payment must be received by the renewal date to avoid Membership termination.
  1. Membership Termination
  • If you terminate during the 12-month term, you are required to give 30 day’s notice.
  1. Membership Transfer

Memberships are non-transferable.

  1. Meeting Etiquette

My Marketing Pals are empowered to maintain group dynamics and may terminate Membership without explanation if a Member negatively impacts the group.

  1. My Marketing Pals portal

You must use the My Marketing Pals Portal respectfully. Content that is inappropriate, offensive, or violates privacy or intellectual property rights is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination.

  1. Content & Copyright

When posting content about My Marketing Pals, you must:

  • Use only royalty-free or self-owned images.
  • Credit all images appropriately (e.g., from Canva, Pexels, Unsplash).
  1. Publicity & Recordings
  • Photos may be taken at meetings for marketing purposes. Notify the photographer in advance if you do not wish to be included.
  • Online meetings may be recorded. You will be notified when recording is active.
  1. Meeting Changes
  • My Marketing Pals may change meeting venues or platforms when necessary.
  • If a venue change prevents attendance and adequate notice was not given (within 3 weeks), your Membership term will be extended by 1 month.
  • If a venue change makes attendance impractical, a pro-rata refund may be issued.
  1. Ending Your Membership

Upon non-renewal:

  • Access to the My Marketing Pals Portal is removed.
  • You may be asked to provide feedback or a testimonial.
  • You are responsible for removing any My Marketing Pals - related social media content.
  • Data will be retained unless you request deletion.
  1. Data Protection & Privacy
  • Member data is handled in accordance with My Marketing Pals Data Protection and Privacy Policy: https://mymarketingpals.simplero.com/
  • You are automatically subscribed to My Marketing Pals communications under the Legitimate Interest basis and may unsubscribe at any time.
  1. Updates to Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be revised from time to time. Updated versions will be communicated to Members and will supersede previous terms.

  1. Disclaimer

My Marketing Pals are not responsible for the outcomes of business conducted between Members. All Members must perform their own due diligence.
